Many times we are called upon to clean out our parents' home for placement on the market. In most cases, it is the very house where we grew up, and memories are present in each and every room. Usually the basement, attic, and garage are the easiest places to start the process, as was the case in this home. The family was able to go through these three areas and identify items they wished to keep for themselves, donate (for a tax deduction), or just let go. |

The basement, attic, and garage were completely cleared of all extraneous items. Two areas in the back corner of the basement and garage were set aside to house items that were to be kept or donated, leaving all the other space in each area open and available for workmen to come in and paint and repair as needed. Potential buyers can now see how spacious each area is and begin to envision how they could use the space for their own family. |
